Extensive coverage
The Telsan wide-area radio system is the radio infrastructure with the broadest coverage area in Istanbul, excluding systems operated by public institutions.
It has been optimised to provide the best outdoor coverage based on population density.
High Capacity & Security
The TELSAN wide-area radio system uses a DMR Tier 3–based digital radio communications platform, also deployed in many mission-critical public infrastructures.

Independent & Resilient
No mobile operator or telecommunications infrastructure is used at our stations. This means that, during a disaster, our system is not affected by service congestion at mobile or internet providers..
The TELSAN wide-area radio system’s server infrastructure is geographically redundant and operates synchronously in a hot-standby configuration. This provides protection against events such as floods, earthquakes or theft.
At stations equipped with our dedicated communications towers, power redundancy is provided by automatic generators. At the plaza-based base stations we operate in partnership with, battery backup systems provide at least 12 hours of power.

- Our Istanbul-wide digital radio system provides approximately 80% outdoor coverage with handheld radios, depending on population density.
- A base station covering IGA Istanbul Airport and the Arnavutköy, Göktürk and Zekeriyaköy areas in northern Istanbul’s European side has been added to the system.
- The system expansion plan for the western Küçükçekmece Lake area is currently in the procurement and licensing phase.
Connecting Different Locations
For your branches and offices in other cities outside our coverage area, we provide user-specific point-to-point solutions using Metro Ethernet MPLS infrastructure to enable communication with Istanbul.
For users requiring additional redundancy, we also offer satellite backup solutions.

The Telsan wide-area radio system is designed to make communication easy for users. The radios are extremely simple to operate.
Once you switch on your radio outdoors, you can start communicating with your team in approximately ten seconds.
Additional System Features
With the Telsan wide-area radio system, you can make private one-to-one calls that other team members cannot hear. You can also request multiple subgroups within the same team, such as management and emergency-response groups.
In addition, you can share GPS location information with your teammates through your radios.
Devices Used in the System
With the TELSAN wide-area radio system, you can easily build the most suitable fleet for your needs from handheld, vehicle-mounted and fixed radio options.
Handheld radios used in the system feature at least IP67 water and dust protection, MIL-STD-810G military-grade durability, Bluetooth, GPS location tracking, private one-to-one calling and text messaging.
