The TELSAN wide-area radio system is the radio infrastructure with the broadest coverage area in Istanbul.* It has been optimised to provide the best outdoor coverage according to population density.
The TELSAN wide-area radio system uses a DMR Tier 3–based digital radio communications platform, also deployed in many mission-critical public infrastructures. For branches and offices in other cities outside our coverage area, we also offer Metro Ethernet MPLS infrastructure and satellite backup solutions to enable communication with Istanbul.
The TELSAN wide-area radio system is ideal for corporate users with disaster action plans, critical communication requirements, or a need for radio coordination in their daily workflows. Banks, consulates, educational institutions, corporate organisations and multinational companies with disaster action plans—as well as multi-site operations such as ambulance and logistics companies requiring fast, uninterrupted daily communication—can consider the TELSAN system as an alternative to satellite communications.
No mobile operator or telecommunications infrastructure is used at our stations. This means our system is not affected by service congestion at mobile or internet providers during disasters. The system’s server infrastructure is geographically redundant, providing protection against events such as floods, earthquakes or theft. Our base stations are equipped with automatic generators and battery backup systems.
